How CBL Works

Confidence-Based Learning

Welcome to the world of Confidence-Based Learning (CBL)! CBL is a faster way to learn, is totally customized to you, helps you retain information longer – and is fun!

CBL is totally different, so please take a moment to review the directions below.

How it works:

  1. When you start a CBL learning module, the first thing you see is a series of questions. But don't worry...CBL is not a test! These questions determine what you already know and what you need to learn.

  2. For the best results, answer each question honestly. Don't try to guess – this will only keep you in the course longer. If you don't know anything about a topic, choose "I don't know." You will have the opportunity to learn everything you need to reach mastery.

  3. After answering the questions, click Submit to go to the Learning Center. This is where you receive feedback and where your personalized learning plan lives.

  4. The Learning Center sorts the questions into categories, depending on how you answered them, click on each question to learn why the correct answer is correct and incorrect answers are wrong. You can choose the questions you want to review and not waste time reviewing topics you already know.

  5. Click Continue to continue the learning process. You will continue to answer additional series of questions until you have mastered all of the content.

    6. Remember, CBL is not about a score. It's about determining what you need to learn, and then learning it. Go with it! Your results will speak for themselves.
